FBI: Geriatric Bandit Strikes Again

Don’t let the white hair or oxygen tank fool you.
A man possibly in his 80s, who the FBI says robbed a bank branch inside a San Diego supermarket, is probably the same guy responsible for similar robberies.
Investigators say the geriatric bandit handed a teller a note demanding cash Friday at the U.S. Bank inside a Vons supermarket in Carmel Valley.
The man said he had a gun and escaped with cash, but we don’t know how much.
Investigators say he may be responsible for similar robberies at banks in Santee and the San Diego National Bank in La Jolla, which was robbed by a man carrying an oxygen tank.
He’s described as 70 to 80 years old, 6 foot 4 with white hair, a medium build and liver spots on his skin. He wore prescription eyeglasses, white baseball cap, and a blue nylon type jacket.
