5.0 Quake Shakes South of Border

A 5.0 magnitude earthquake rattled the Mexico-California border region Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake hit at 11:23 a.m. It was centered near about 100 miles east of Tijuana near Guadalupe Victoria. The quake was felt the strongest in the border city of Mexicali. Some schools and public buildings were evacuated as a precaution.
No major damage or injuries have been reported.
