A new device is helping one woman with neurological disorders walk again.

Delsie Potts who suffered for years with multiple sclerosis lost the ability to walk. She had to use a scooter to get around.

"My sister had bought me a scooter and I was using the scooter 80 percent of my life. I couldn't walk," she said.

But thanks to a new device called the Bioness L-300, she is mobile again.

The device attaches to her knee and ankle. With a hand held control, it sends electrical signals that stimulate the  nerves. Delsie can now stand up straight and walk.

"For the first time I can walk into buildings and it's opened a whole new door. I am mobile again," she said.

The device may also work for other neurological disorders that affect the central nervous system. Check with your doctor to see if it is right for you.
