Free H1N1 vaccinations were provided to students in Poway on a first come, first served basis.
The Poway Unified School District offered four H1N1 vaccination clinics for Poway Unified students and their siblings on Saturday. The district put on the clinics in partnership with the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, Pomerado Hospital and the City of Poway.
The clinics limited vaccinations to priority groups such as children from 6 months to 18 years of age and pregnant women.
Parents had to bring a pre-printed consent form and accompany their children.
The four clinics were open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Valley Elementary, Sunset Hills Elementary, Oak Valley Middle and Bernardo Heights Middle School.
