The Skinny on Recycling Christmas Trees

It's never too late to go green: Finish the year off right by recycling your Christmas tree!

The 37th annual Christmas-tree city of San Diego recycling program starts Monday at 10 a.m. and runs through Jan. 23.

If you would like to recycle your tree, head over to San Diego State University, where you can drop it off in Parking Lot D, which located on the east side of campus.

San Diegans can also put the tree out at the curb if they have greenery pickup or take it to the Miramar landfill, where it will be turned into mulch. There are also 15 other sites around the city where trees can be dropped off.
