Painting a Picture of Conservation

Learn to paint from a pro and go green at the same time

It's an unusual way to "go green", learn a bit about painting a watercolor masterpiece and pick up a lot about water conservation, all at the same time.  It's the sixth annual "paint-out" at Water Conservation Gardens at Cuyamaca College in El Cajon.

It takes place Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon, at 12122 Cuyamaca College Drive.

The event is hosted by the San Diego Watercolor Society.  Admission is free and so are the painting lessons from accomplished artist, Char Cee Colosia.

Unlike last weekend, the weather will be ideal for an outdoor event in the east county: partly cloudy and cool instead of "sunny and sweltering".  Don't forget your watercolors and canvas.
