Earth Day Freebies: Coffee, Totes and Trees

Target, Starbucks among companies offering Earth Day giveaways

Earth Day is this Sunday, and many companies are offering freebies and deals to celebrate Mother Nature.

According to coupon king Matthew Cheng, creator of eCoupons.com, Earth Day giveaways this year include everything from unique recycling services to free coffee.

For example, Verizon Wireless will plant a tree if you trade in your old cell phone device, while Sprint is offering new and existing customers credit worth up to $150 for recycling their eligible wireless devices.

Meanwhile, both Caribou Coffee and Starbucks will give a free cup of Joe to customers who bring their own reusable mug into locations on Apr. 22.

Target stores will be giving away a free reusable bag to guests on Sunday, while supplies last. The Disney Store will also give customers a free reusable tote, as long as they bring in five plastic bags to trade for it.

Origins Cosmetics will give customers a free bracelet with any skincare purchase and will plant a tree on your behalf.

Finally, U.S. National Parks will offer free admission to select parks all over the country from Apr. 21 -29.
