    Police said the drowning of a 16-year-old Chinese exchange student in Anaheim Wednesday night was considered an accident.

    A Chinese exchange student who drowned in his host parents' Anaheim pool Wednesday night has been identified as Yuan Zhao.

    Zhao, 16, was swimming with a group of people in the 800 block of West North Street. Some of the swimmers got out of pool, and found Zhao unresponsive when they went back to check on him. 

    They called police and firefighters, but Zhao died about an hour after being taken to the Anaheim Regional Medical Center. 

    Zhao was from Taishan District, China. 

    The death was considered an accident and no arrests were made, Anaheim police said.
