A police pursuit that spanned at least four freeways and two counties Friday ended peacefully after 90 minutes with the driver in custody and three other adults and two children who were occupants were safe.
The chase started when police spotted a driver in a silver Nissan Pathfinder speeding in Anaheim at 8:42 p.m. It ended in also Anaheim at 10:22 p.m. on the shoulder of a freeway.
The pursuit wound along at least four freeways, mostly encircling East Los Angeles.
The highest speed clocked was 80 mph, said CHP Officer Peter Bishop.
