Police Arrest Alleged Getaway Driver in OC Bank Robbery, Seek a Second Suspect

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested in a bank robbery, and a warrant has been issued for a second alleged robber

Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of a woman suspected of being a getaway driver in an Orange County bank robbery last month, but were asking for the public’s help in tracking down her accomplice.

On Jan. 28, detectives arrested Jacqueline Velazquez, 24, as one of the suspects in connection with the robbery at a Citi Bank branch in Cypress on Jan. 11, according to the Cypress Police Department.

Velazquez is accused of being the getaway driver for 37-year-old Michael Davis, who allegedly robbed the bank by handing the teller a note demanding money.

Davis and Velazquez fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Police say Davis is considered armed and dangerous and possibly somewhere in Los Angeles County. There is a $100,000 warrant out for his arrest in connection with the robbery.

Anyone who spots Davis is urged to call 911. Tips on Davis' whereabouts can be made by calling 714-229-6631 or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-847-6227. A reward is possible for information leading to his arrest, police said.
