Musical Instruments Worth $10,000 Stolen from Ontario Church

Pry marks were found on the back door, the pastor said.

Someone broke into an Ontario church and stole $10,000 worth of musical instruments, forcing the church's pastor to buy new equipment using credit cards for Sunday services.

The burglary happened Thursday between noon and 5 p.m. at the Word of Life Christian Fellowship. The burglar left pry marks on the back door and made off with keyboards, speakers, an electric guitar and microphones, said Pastor John Bunch.

"At first I felt violated, I felt just a little bit agitated. Maybe even angry," Bunch said. "But the more I thought about it, I thought, you know, this can be replaced. Nobody's hurt. These are instruments. They're material things."

No one has been arrested in the case, police said.

Bunch has installed a new security system in hopes of preventing a similar burglary in the future.
