Gas Station Burglar Caught on Video With Pants Down

The burglar is captured on surveillance video stealing cigarette cartons as his pants slip down his waist

A Southern California burglar was caught with his pants down — literally — on camera.

The man entered a gas station in the 1400 block of La Cienega Boulevard through an unlocked roof entrance, Los Angeles Police Department detectives said Tuesday.

The man in the video from March 11 was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and black shoes and is seen crawling past an open door.

At one point, his pants slide down his waist. A gas station clerk was working just steps away, detectives said.

The burglar appears to be 20 to 30 years old and weighs 180 to 210 pounds. He went into a rear office, where he stuffed trash bags with cigarette cartons and escaped through the roof, officials said.

Police urge anyone with information to call Wilshire Area Detective Lavender at 213-922-8252.
