Baby Bobcat Rescued by Homeless Trio After Separated From Mother

A bobcat cub was rescued by three homeless people after it was abandoned by its mother, according to the Riverside County Department of Animal Services.

The cub was discovered at Fairmount Park in Riverside around noon on Friday. The homeless trio cared for the animal and kept it in a backpack until it was turned over to animal control, officials said.

The bobcat is expected to be cared for in a sanctuary until it is old enough to be released into the wild, officials said.
