Three Supermarkets Slated for Closure

In the wake of the recession, a grocery store chain will be closing three local stores, according to a published report.

If you call the Albertsons on East Orange Avenue and Melrose your supermarket, you are going to have to find another place to shop -- and quick. The Chula Vista store will close Friday, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Encinitas will lose its Albertsons, too. The El Camino Real and Encinitas Boulevard store is among eight around Southern California that are set to close.

Sorry, Clairemont residents, but you are losing your Albertsons as well. Residents will still have until April 9 to continue enjoying shopping at that location.

NBCSanDiego reported earlier that the Encinitas story was closing but just learned Thursday about the closure of the other sites.
