More than 400 people in search of work showed up Wednesday at the Cabaret Royale's "Jobless to Topless Job Fair."

Job seekers from all walks of life showed up at the Dallas topless bar.

One woman, who had worked in auto financing, said she was looking for a job as an an exotic dancer because her bills are mounting.

"I was laid off Friday. I just bought a new truck. I got a truck payment. I got rent due. I thought I'd give this a try, fast cash," she said.

She begins her new, albeit temporary, career Wednesday night.

Viola Leonard was happily self-employed for 8 years, but the recession hit and her business folded. She decided to come to the job fair to look for work as a waitress or an administrative assistant.

"I figured something now beats nothing. So I'm here," Leonard said.

It was the first job fair Cabaret Royale and its parent company, Burch Management, has ever had. Steve Craft, vice-president of Burch Management, said the huge crowd created a successful event.

The company said it plans to hire about 150 people.
