Where's Jacko?

How did they pull it off?

In a city where there are no secrets, where paparazzi record every move, and choppers with gyroscopic zoom lenses buzz overhead, the Jackson family may have pulled off the greatest disappearing act ever. Where's Michael Jackson's body?

Immediately after the memorial service, the choppers and the rest of the media tracked the family's caravan to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel where the Jacksons had lunch. Somehow, Michael's body slipped away.

Or is it still inside Staples Center? There is speculation that it remained deep inside the arena for at least several hours, along with the elephants and other wild animals that were loaded in for Ringling Brothers circus. It would have been a scene out of Neverland that would've made Jacko feel quite at home.

When pressed for details, LAPD Chief William Bratton said, "We have to keep some secrets."

Some people think the body was never taken to Staples in the first place. But it is doubtful the LAPD would have played along with that charade, given the enormous security detail accompanying the casket on its trip from Forest Lawn to Downtown L.A. Members of the elite Metro Division, which includes the SWAT team, were assigned to that motorcade.

Wherever Michael Jackson's body is, the bigger question right now might very well be, "How'd they do that?"
