Orphaned Mumbai Toddler Captures Hearts

Poignant video of 2-year-old toddler who still cries out "Mommy, Mommy."

The sole Jewish survivor of the Mumbai massacre, 2-year-old Moshe Holtzberg has captured the hearts of the world.

"You don't have a mother who will hug you and kiss you," Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky said yesterday in an anguished eulogy as young Moshe's parents Rabbie Gavriel and Rivkah Holtzberg were laid to rest. "You are the child of all of Israel."

The orphan was not at the service in Jerusalem to hear those words.  Just the day before, during a service in Mumbai, the heartbroken toddler cried out "Imma, Imma" or "Mommy Mommy,"  not comprehending that he would not see his mother again in this life.

As Moshe's parents, who also lived in Brooklyn, were buried in Jerusalem, Rivkah's father Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg said that terrorist attacks that left 171 dead in Mumbai last week claimed one more victim:  Rivkah Holtzberg was five months pregnant.

"They killed three people, not two," Rosenberg said, adding yet another layer of sorrow for young Moshe to one day struggle to comprehend.
