CHP officers had the southbound 1-5 ramp from the State Route 76 connector closed for about 20 minutes Saturday morning as rescue crews pulled at least one patient from an overturned vehicle.

A red vehicle overturned on the freeway around 7:15 a.m. in Oceanside, a CHP dispatcher said.

Fire crews worked to extradite at least one patient who was transported to Tri-City Medical Center with unknown injuries.

It was also unknown whether the patient was a man or woman or whether there was another victim inside the rolled vehicle. A fire dispatch and CHP officer said only one vehicle was reportedly involved in the crash.

The freeway on-ramp was reopened around 8 a.m., according to the CHP.
