La Jolla is Up For Grabs

There's a growing political tussle over which San Diego County supervisor should represent the tiny, seaside community of La Jolla, reports The North County Times.

The fight, playing out on proposed county redistricting maps, could for the second time in a decade slice away a "jewel" from the territory of North County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price and boost the fortunes of one of her colleagues, political observers said last week.

La Jolla, an enclave of about 40,000 people south of Del Mar, is highly regarded by politicians for its deep pockets and strong civic participation.
