Chargers Practices Open to Public

Bolts back in front of fans in 2010

If you're reading this on the day it's published (Friday, June 25th, 2010), then the Chargers open training camp one month from today!  Unlike last year, when the training facility in Murphy Canyon was closed to the public while some much-needed repairs were made, fans will be able to watch several practices in 2010.  Here's the full list :

Sun.     Aug. 1         4-6 p.m.  (FIRST PRACTICE OPEN TO GENERAL PUBLIC)

Mon.    Aug. 2         4-6 p.m.

Tues.   Aug. 3         4-6 p.m.

Wed.   Aug. 4         7-9:20 p.m. @ Qualcomm Stadium

Thur.    Aug. 5         4-6 p.m.

Fri.       Aug. 6         4-6 p.m.

Sat.      Aug. 7         10-1 p.m. @ Qualcomm Stadium (FanFest, presented by Bud Light)

Mon.    Aug. 9         4-6 p.m.

Tues.   Aug. 10       4-6 p.m.

Wed.   Aug. 11       4-6 p.m.

Thur.    Aug. 12       4-6 p.m.  (LAST PRACTICE OPEN TO GENERAL PUBLIC)
 

There are a few rules.  Beach chairs, coolers, snacks, soft drinks and water are allowed.  Alcoholic beverages, video cameras, pets and weapons of any kind (listen up, Raider fans!) are not allowed.

Parking is free but limited.  During the week, fans can park on the west side of Murphy Canyon Road.  On weekends, the PS Business Center next to Chargers Park is also accessible.
