On Tuesday, authorities released a bird's eye view of the chase through San Diego County that took place over the weekend.

A clerk from Rangoni Shoes in the 7800 block of Girard Avenue in La Jolla reported that a woman tried to exchange a pair of $140 shoes in size 6 for a pair in size 9 on Sunday afternoon, said San Diego police Sgt. Joe Molinoski. The clerk recognized the shoes as a pair that had allegedly been stolen from a car parked in the store's lot last week.

Police said the woman jumped into a black Honda and took off with a female passenger.

Helicopter officer Blaine Ferguson followed the suspects' car as it hit speeds of 110 mph. Ferguson said one of the women began throwing shoes and other stolen property out the window.

Officers were able to stop the car in El Cajon. Police took the women into custody at the scene. They face numerous charges, including evading police.

An arraignment for the women is scheduled for Wednesday.
