SAN DIEGO -- Several thousand San Diegans made the annual run from downtown to Coronado Sunday.
The 17th annual Bay Bridge Walk-Run kicked off Sunday morning near the downtown Gas Lamp district. The 4-mile route takes people over the Coronado Bay Bridge and into Tidelands Park.
Proceeds from the event go to the Navy's personal wellness programs.
This year's event did have a few less people because of the many sailors who are overseas.
