TIJUANA, Mexico -- Mexican soldiers have seized 13.5 tons of marijuana in two raids in the border city of Tijuana.The military said troops discovered 10.2 tons of the drug Thursday in a home in a poor neighborhood of the city across from San Diego.Subsequently, the army said in a statement Friday that it confiscated vehicles, guns, 3,000 rounds of ammunition and T-shirts with the logos of state police and the U.S. Marines. Two men were arrested in connection with Friday's arrest, officials said.
Earlier Thursday, soldiers seized 3.3 tons of marijuana and 5 tons of unlicensed fireworks in a freight container near the Otay Mesa Port of Entry.
