Teen Sought In Relative's Stabbing Death

ESCONDIDO, Calif. -- Police officers are investigating a fatal stabbing involving two family members in Escondido.It happened Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. Police said they responded to a report of a stabbing victim at Palomar Hospital. When officers arrived, they found a 47-year-old man suffering from a single stab wound to the stomach.The victim said a relative had stabbed him at their apartment complex at 980 E. Mission Ave. The man underwent emergency surgery, but died Wednesday at 3:25 a.m., police said.
The alleged attacker is a 17-year-old who has not been seen since the stabbing. Police said they do not have a motive.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 760-743-8477.The victim's name has not been released.
