CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- Military personnel and their guests watched a star-studded beach concert Thursday evening.

The free show feature performances by Snoop Dogg, Clint Black, Jessica Simpson, NE YO, Janet Jackson and appearances by many others who wanted show their appreciation for the efforts and sacrifices of service members worldwide.

Thousands of people attended the United America concert. The show went late into the night, ending just before 11 p.m. Jackson performed two songs. One of them, "Luv," is on her latest release, "Discipline."

Actress Pamela Anderson was on hand to sign T-shirts. Anderson is often willing to appear at events for the troops. She told NBCSandiego.com that she enjoys attending the events.
