Police: Drunks Arrested After Botched Carjackings

SAN DIEGO -- Police arrested two men late Monday night on suspicion of unsuccessfully trying to carjack two vehicles.

Officers said they tracked down the suspect in the 3400 block of Crown Point Drive. One is an adult and the other is a juvenile. Both men were highly intoxicated and had blood on them, investigators said.
According to police, the men first tried to steal a car from a man in the 3800 block of Kendall Street, but the driver was able to get away.About 20 minutes later, a woman reported that two men tried to take her vehicle about a block away from the first incident, police said. Police said the men began arguing over whether they should steal the woman's car, and the argument escalated into a fight.After being arrested, both men were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
