I'm firmly of the belief that sometimes the best plans, ideas, and collaborations happen at nighttime when you're out and about, and not behind a computer or on the other end of the phone. One such project was the result of a bar bet between my friend Bonnie Vanderwater and music writer and editor Seth Combs. If you know Seth from his time as the CityBeat music editor, you know that Seth has made friends and enemies alike because he has very strong opinions and isn't shy when it comes to sharing those views. When Bonnie dared Seth to finally cut his hair, he objected. But when the stakes were raised that we'd raise money for his favorite charity if he agreed to cut his hair like Justin Bieber, we got Seth to agree. All donations must be on-hand and we must have $300 before the scissors touch Mr. Combs hair, and if we reach $700, Seth will also shave his mustache and beard. We will have some guest entertainment by Long Live Logos, Gregory Page, Rob Deez and Josh Damigo, and invite everyone to come to Hipster Happy Hour to enjoy the fun.
