This week, with the help of local music guru Andrew Wehrung, we present Hotel St. George, with "That's Why I Drink Every Night."
Channeling the Cribs, Arctic Monkeys and Bowie, San Diego indie rockers Hotel St. George are three albums, two San Diego Music Award nominations and countless shows deep into the local music scene. Not slowing down, the boys just finished recording their fourth album in less than two years, Fun Shine Line. Predominately a guitar band, the new album is keyboard and bass synthesizer driven, in order to create a new, darker sound. With legitimate label interest brewing, SoundDiego is stoked to give you a sneak peak at the forthcoming record (due in March) with its first single, "That's Why I Drink Every Night".
To support the track, a video was shot last week at M-Theory records by artist/director and local music icon David McHank. Look for Hotel St. George at the Casbah with Sunday Times, the Howls and the Dig on Feb. 11.
