SAN DIEGO -- A new study shows surprising results about what makes a woman happy. The study -- developed in part by a University of California, San Diego business researcher who wanted to determine whether it was money that made women the most happy -- asked 900 working women to rank the best and worst parts of their day.The women ranked intimacy as the No. 1 thing that made them happy. The study showed that sex was the high point of a happy woman's day.
Time spent with loved ones and friends also topped the chart. Surprisingly, being with children ranked lower on the list.Activities that ranked the lowest on the list were cleaning the house, grocery shopping, spending time caught in traffic and spending time alone with a boss or a supervisor. The survey used a new method called day reconstruction that researchers hope will be used in other quality-of-life surveys. It was published in Friday's issue of the Journal Of Science.
