County Reports Three More Flu-Related Deaths

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego County has reported three more flu-related deaths, bringing the local total this season to 13.The latest cases include a 77-year-old woman and two 86-year-old men.However, the county said emergency rooms reported the percentage of visits for flu-like illnesses dropped last week compared with the previous week.
Meanwhile, the federal government wants to keep better track of how many children are dying from the flu. Under a new requirement, states are now supposed to notify the Centers for Disease Control of flu-related deaths for anyone under 18.
