Winter weather may be back this weekend, but don’t let that get you down. Here’s the fun events going on throughout San Diego.

Friday, Jan. 25


50 People to Watch Party

7-9 p.m. at Tilted Kilt Tartan Terrace
San Diego Magazine is hosting its annual 50 People to Watch party, so you can mix and mingle with some of the city’s brightest people. Tickets start at $50.

“Clybourne Park”

8 p.m. at San Diego Repertory Theatre
View a Tony and Pulitzer Award-winning play at the San Diego Repertory Theatre in Horton Plaza. Tickets start at $35.

Saturday, Jan. 26

Big Bay Whale Festival
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Port Pavilion
Take the family to this free event at San Diego’s harbor celebrating the gray whale’s migration through local waters. Concerts, art murals and a bounce house will keep the kids entertained for hours.

Strasburg 5K Walk & Fun Run
7 a.m. at San Diego State University
Talk a walk with one of Major League Baseball's best pitchers, and SDSU legend: Stephen Strasburg. Registration fees begin at $25 and includes a shirt, Kids Fun Zone and complimentary food court.

Superfest
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Point Loma Nazarene University
Young athletes can hang out with professional athletes like Dodgers All-Star first baseman Adrian Gonzales, Chargers kicker Nick Novak and Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix at The Rock Church’s annual Superfest event. Registration is required, but the event is free and open to the public.

Sunday, Jan. 27

Sunroad Marina Boat Show
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Harbor Island
Check out more than 100 different boats in all shapes and sizes at the annual boat show. Local restaurants will have food at the event as well. Tickets cost $12.

Farmers Insurance Open
All day, Torrey Pines Golf Course
Watch some of the country’s finest gold pros at the Farmers Insurance Open. The best part, aside from the pros? The scenic backdrop of La Jolla at the world-famous Torrey Pines Golf course. Tickets start at $30.

Skate Team Demo
1-4 p.m. at Pacific Highway and Washington Street
Sample some free tacos while watching the Dickies Skate Team put on their best moves for fans. This free event is perfect for skateboarding and extreme sports fans.
