The world premiere of 'Escape to Margaritaville', a musical based off the music of Jimmy Buffet, will kick off La Jolla Playhouse's 2017-2018 season in May.
The new musical follows the part-time bartender, part-time singer Tully, who thinks he has his life figured out.
But a beautiful, career-minded tourist comes to town and steals his heart, making him question all his decisions and plans.
The story will be told with a unique blend of original, new songs in addition to Jimmy Buffet classics.
Tickets will go on sale at a later date; returning subscribers will receive first access to tickets.
