The Stretch Before the Stretch: All-Star Yoga in San Diego

The All-Star Yoga sessions will be held July 9, before the MLB's All-Star game in San Diego

Major League Baseball's All-Star Game will have a stretch even before the seventh inning: the sport's first All-Star yoga party.

MLB said Tuesday there will be a pair of 60-minute “Soul Pose MLB All-Star Yoga” sessions in San Diego on July 9 that will include music, body paint and bubbles. But there is a cost to participate: the sport said the pre-sale price through March 16 is $19.99 if signing up as part of a team of two or more.

The yoga sessions are open to participants of all ages and skill levels. The yoga party is set to take place at Waterfront Park at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. To register for the event, visit this website.

MLB said there will also be an all-ages, 5-kilometer All-Star Color Run on July 10, the day of the All-Star Futures Game. The All-Star Game is at Petco Park on July 12.

Color Run 5K participants will make their way through an All-Star themed course that features appearance by MLB icons, mascots and other special guests. Along the route, runners will be doused with four different colored powders. The race starts and finishes at Waterfront Park. The first wave of runners will take off at 7 a.m.

Fans who sign up for the 5K by March 16 can do so for an early bird price of $29.99 if signing up as part of a team of four or more.
