Metropolis needs you, starting in the spring of 2017.

Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia announced plans Thursday to open an interactive ride based on DC comic book characters next spring.

"Justice League: Battle for Metropolis" is a motion-based gaming attraction that takes riders on a four-minute thrill that includes wind, fire, fog and special effects. Riders in six-passenger vehicles that move in sync with action scenes will do battle along side superheroes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg and Green Lantern to save Metropolis from Lex Luthor, the Joker and his henchmen.

The attraction features virtual 360-degree loops that offer the sensation of going head-over-heels.

"Justice League" will be in the newly-themed Metropolis area of the park.

"There is nothing like this anywhere in the world where riders are actually playing an interactive game while riding an action-packed high-intensity attraction," said Bonnie Sherman Weber, Six Flags Magic Mountain park president.
