Yoga and… baseball? Normally the two activities don’t combine, but this Saturday hundreds of people will practice yoga on the field of Petco Park.

Why not roll out your mat, get your stretch on and help raise money for a good cause?

Yoga for Hope 2013 is partnering with the San Diego Padres this weekend for a unique benefit. Proceeds from the event will be donated to City of Hope, one of the leading centers for cancer, diabetes and HIV research and treatment in nation.

The event is one of the largest of its kind and features a sun salutation by nationally renowned yoga instructors. There is also a live performance by musicians Kevin Carlstead and Aja Lee.

Yogis who register for the event also will receive a ticket for the Padres game against the Washington Nationals at 1:10 p.m. Sunday.

The last day to register online is Wednesday, May 15 for the cost of $45. Day-of registration is available for $55 between 7-8:30 a.m. at Petco Park. The event begins at 9 a.m. on the center field of the ballpark.
