“My Sister's Voice” Raises Donations for Local Non-Profit

The women will each share some wisdom from their life experiences to encourage the world’s youth

On Friday, June 6, The Center for Community Solutions will host a fundraiser presenting the photographic exhibition, “My Sister’s Voice” at the Broadway Pier and Pavilion.

Forty diverse women from around the world have come together to share in the beauty of humanity and enrich the lives of future generations. Photographer Pablo Mason’s striking black and white portraits of the women will be on display along with a short documentary and note from each woman.

In attendance will be the spotlighted women, many who have traveled thousands of miles for the cause.

They will each share some wisdom from their life experiences to encourage the world’s youth.

Coffee-table books including a complete collection of the women’s images and biographies will be for sale starting June 6.

The proceeds of the event will go towards the Center for Community Solutions. The non-profit organization is dedicated to the prevention, intervention and relief for victims of abuse and violence.

“My Sister’s Voice” is the second exhibit announced in the series, “Notes to Our Sons and Daughter.”

The VIP reception will begin at 5 p.m. followed by the general reception and exhibit from 6-9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at $175 for general admission and $250 for the VIP experience.

Broadway Pier and Pavilion is located at 1000 North Harbor Drive, San Diego.
