Lighted Trees Line Gaslamp Streets

Anyone spending time in the Gaslamp after dark will see 170 trees with these new lights

An effort to make the streets of downtown San Diego safer is now complete.

Since April of last year, lights have been installed on trees in the Gaslamp Quarter.

The tree-lighting initiative has been an ongoing project managed by the Downtown San Diego Partnership's Clean & Safe program.

The last group of tree lights went up Thursday night.

Now, anyone spending time in the Gaslamp after dark will see 170 trees with these new lights between Broadway and L streets on Fourth, Fifth and Sixth.
