Can’t make it to New York Fashion Week? Want a fall preview to gear up for San Diego Fashion Week? Don’t Fret! Fashion Valley, San Diego’s finest collection of more than 200 stores and restaurants in a beautiful outdoor setting, is bringing the hottest fall trends front and center in Center Court near Macy’s on September 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Fashion in the Valley celebrates the season’s latest trends paired with coveted accessories, showcasing looks from retailers including Ted Baker London, Tous, The Limited, Tommy Hilfiger, Banana Republic, Stuart Weitzman and White House | Black Market, among others. Sip on specialty cocktails from Wild Hibiscus and take notes on what to wear for fall during Fashion Valley’s annual runway show, which is slated to begin at 7 p.m. The show is free and open to the public from the second level or open area around the event venue.

In addition to celebrating an evening of style, Fashion Valley is partnering with Hard Rock Hotel San Diego and Father Joe’s Villages to give back through the COMPASSION ROCKS Clothing Drive to benefit the homeless residents of Father Joe’s Villages. The two-week campaign will kick off on Thursday, September 12, 2013 and run through Thursday, September 26, 2013.

At Fashion Valley, designated donation barrels will be located at Old Navy and at the Guest Services booth, located underneath the food court, throughout the duration of the clothing drive.

Fashion show seating is first-come, first-served. However, the first 50 attendees who donate new or gently used clothing to the COMPASSION ROCKS drive on the night of the 19th will have the opportunity to nab a front row seat, one per donor.

Hard Rock Hotel’s General Manager Matt Greene, Father Joe’s Villages’ CEO and President Sister Patricia “Tricia” Cruise and Fashion Valley Director of Marketing and Business Development Francine Miley will kick off the event.

“Fashion in the Valley is one of the hottest fashion events of the year and it’s surely one not to be missed,” said Miley. “At Fashion Valley, we strive to treat our San Diego fashionistas to the top trends and hottest styling for each season. We’re happy to help bring the local community together not only to celebrate fall fashion in style, but also to kick-start the season of giving back.”

In addition to enjoying some bubbly while admiring fall threads, the first 200 attendees will be treated to swag bags filled with discounts, coupons and other Fashion Valley surprises.
