Poke Bowls & Sushi Burritos Pop Up On Convoy
Kearny Mesa's newest Japanese eatery is a fast-casual concept called Pokirrito, which recently opened adjacent to the popular RakiRaki Ramen & Tsukemen by the same ownership. Pokirrito specializes in bowls topped with seafood poke and seaweed and rice burritos filled with everything from fried chicken to baked salmon.

Inside North Park's New Outdoor Beer Garden
Ramona-based ChuckAlek Independent Brewers has launched ChuckAlek Biergarten, an all-outdoor tasting room on University Avenue in North Park that features its core and specialty beers on tap and bites from neighboring eatery, Tostadas. 

Tiki Drinks & Island-Inspired Eats Land in Mission Beach
Freshly minted on Mission Boulevard is Miss B's Coconut Club, a new indoor/outdoor eatery specializing in tropical drinks served in punch bowls and real coconuts and a food menu that takes inspiration from the flavors of Cuba and the Caribbean.

Two-Story Steakhouse Gets Go-Ahead to Build in Little Italy
A new restaurant project on India Street got the green light from the San Diego City Council this week to move forward with plans to add on a rooftop dining terrace and urban garden. Called Born & Raised, it's a steakhouse from hospitality group CH Projects. 

San Diego's Ramen Boom Continues To Grow
Yet another ramen brand is expanding into San Diego. Worldwide chain Ajisen Ramen, which has several locations in Southern California, will open its first shop on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard this June.
