Pendry Hotel Announces New Beer Hall & All Day Eatery/Marketplace
The much-anticipated Pendry Hotel revealed the rest of the food and drink concepts that it will debut later this year. Joining signature restaurant Lionfish, The Poolhouse rooftop lounge, and nightlife venue Oxford Social Club are Nason's Beer Hall, Provisional Kitchen, Cafe & Mercantile, and lobby bar Fifth & Rose. 

Glitzy Steakhouse Brand STK Enters the Gaslamp
Currently in construction in the Andaz San Diego hotel is STK, a modern steakhouse brand from The ONE Group that has locations around the globe. Featuring a pop art-inspired design, STK hosts DJs every night and promises to offer a hopping bar scene along with a menu that ranges from raw bar dishes to steak in every imaginable cut and size. 

Epic Entertainment & Food Hub Expands to East Village
Denver-based Punch Bowl Social has announced plans to open an outpost in the Makers Quarter section of the East Village next year. The 20,000-square-foot space will feature a Southern-inspired restaurant and include everything from boutique bowling alleys and private karaoke rooms to wall-sized Scrabble, bocce ball and vintage arcade games. 

Pacific Beach's Popular Kono's Cafe Opens Second Location
After 25 successful years on the Pacific Beach boardwalk, daytime eatery Kono's Cafe has opened a spinoff eatery, Konito's Cafe, just a mile east of its original Crystal Pier-adjacent spot. Intended to accommodate its large local following, Konito's is serving the same menu with a few new additions.

Vegan Cinnamon Roll Concept Launches First San Diego Shop
Bay Area-based Cinnaholic is bringing its 100 percent vegan cinnamon rolls to San Diego, beginning with a kiosk that will debut on Aug. 12 in Westfield Mission Valley. The sweets business, which specializes in customizable cinnamon rolls, will open at least two more local stores; Cinnaholic should launch by September in the Gaslamp area and in Westfield North County.
