Craft Beer Tavern Opens in Carlsbad

Green Dragon Tavern & Museum, a history-themed venue featuring a 22,000-square-foot replica of a Colonial-era Boston tavern, has opened at 6115 Paseo del Norte in Carlsbad.

Operators said the venue, owned by Bruce Bartlett of Rancho Santa Fe and operated by General Manager John Lek, includes a 120-seat tavern serving craft beers, a 115-seat restaurant and a 3,417-square-foot meeting space.

The museum with free admission houses Colonial-area documents and memorabilia honoring the nation’s founding fathers.

The restaurant features New England-style seafood offerings, and the bar has 20 beers on tap. The business also has a coffee house serving homemade pastries.
