Competition and Conservation at Carlsbad Beach Fest

Enjoy friendly competition at Tamarack State Beach on Saturday morning

Enjoy the ocean breeze and plenty of sporting events while also learning the value of stewardship Saturday, June 15 on Carlsbad Beach.

This year, event organizers expect more than 12,000 beach-goers for the event. It will feature a wide range of activities including recreational activities and ocean preservation booths.

Sporting competitions will be put on throughout the day and include everything from a beach triathlon to Zumba classes on the sand. Registration for the events is available online until midnight Wednesday, or Saturday morning at the fest.

The Carlsbad Beach Fest’s mission is to raise awareness about ocean conservation and how each individual can contribute to preserving their waters. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in beach clean-up shifts along the shore and attend booths with free information and activities.

At the end of the day, a free after-party will be put on at Dini’s, right across from the Carlsbad Beach Fest where guests can enjoy food and drinks.

Free parking is available all day in Carlsbad Village and on Carlsbad Boulevard, as well as on the neighboring streets.

The event starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 at Tamarack State Beach. For more details or to register for an event at the Carlsbad Beach Fest, visit this website.
