Clara P., a San Diego 13-year-old, went to Comic-Con on Sunday, a day tailored to a small degree towards the event's smaller fans.

Comic-Con dominates downtown this time of year. It's always fun to see the banners and signs advertising the convention.
3/53
It's amazing how much decoration is right in front of the convention center. Personally, I like the massive posters that cover entire buildings.
4/53
Some of the decorations are a little more, shall we say, unconventional? Never the less, they're all cool.

6/53
This caught my eye as I was walking around the exhibit hall. It was massive, and quite impressive.
7/53
I spent a fair bit of time at the Lions Gate booth. But then again, can you blame me? It was the main exhibitor for "Mockingjay" and "Divergent"!

9/53
One of the funnier figurines. It certainly made me laugh!
10/53
The decoration for the Nickelodeon booth was fantastic. I could see it from all the way across the Exhibit Hall!
11/53
12/53
If you thought the Nickelodeon booth was the most amazing, think again. The "Hobbit/"Lord of the Rings" booth had an awe-inspiring replica of a sleeping Smaug!
13/53
This costume was really cool. The fan went all the way, right down to the mechanically altered voice.
14/53
Captain America was everywhere this year. This was one of the best action figures of him.
15/53
This display was crazy! It had almost all notable super heros, and even a few villains.
16/53
Even Hello Kitty made an appearance at Comic-Con 2014.
17/53
The Avengers were popular, too. This massive poster of them (it must have been 10-feet long) was my favorite.
18/53
This life-size Han Solo was shockingly realistic, and maybe my favorite of all the Star Wars stuff.
19/53
20/53
Has anyone gotten over the ending of "Allegiant"?
21/53
The were soooo many people there. It was fun, but crowds can be a pain.
22/53
The line for Room 6A was sooooo long that we had to wait outside.
23/53
The Cartoon Voices Panel is one of my favorites. It's always hilarious.
24/53
The panelists had to get ready quickly, and then the hysterics began.
25/53
As you can see, one of the panelists, Debra Wilson, was a little cold -- she said she had to ride down from LA in the rain. They fixed her up, though.
26/53
These dragon costumes were some of my personal favorites. The attention to detail was impeccable.
27/53
28/53
And, of course, we can't forget Elsa. Not many people dressed up as the ice queen, but this one amazing costume made up for that.
29/53
Speaking of Elsa, the advertisement for "Once Upon a Time" on the side of Petco Park was breathtaking.
30/53
After Cartoon Voices, I went and watched What's Hot In Young Adult Fiction. These amazing authors, including Scott Westerfield ("Uglies"), on the far right, were the panelists.
31/53
Even outside of Comic-Con it was crowded.
32/53
This was a great costume. I like the pose too!
33/53
This was maybe the cutest thing in all of Comic-Con!
34/53
Back at the Lions Gate booth, again. I know I probably spent enough time there, but it was really cool.
35/53
Star Trek costumes seemed to be rare, so I thought I'd take a picture of this one.
36/53
In line again -- this time to meet the authors from What's Hot in Young Adult Fiction and get autographs.
37/53
My favorite costume of the day. A dress made from a book. Why can't all clothes be this awesome?
38/53
The autograph section wasn't as crowded, which was nice.
39/53
I don't know who this guy is, but my dad says he's the Soup Nazi from "Seinfeld." Go figure.
40/53
41/53
"Impressive" would probably be the best word for this complex costume.
42/53
The exhibit hall is kind of a controlled chaos, and there I am, right in the middle of it.
43/53
I couldn't resist going back and looking at the "Hobbit" booth.
44/53
45/53
The hologram of Peeta and Johanna was maybe the coolest exhibit in all of Comic-Con.
46/53
47/53
There was a Capitol seal next to the hologram of Peeta and Johanna.
48/53
What's cuter than a Minion? Almost nothing.
49/53
These costumes were great, even if they were a little scary.
50/53
Castles seemed to be popular this year.
51/53
Oh, yeah, comics! That's why we all come, isn't it?
52/53
53/53
These two kids have some of the cutest (and toughest) costumes in all of Comic-Con. Can't wait till next year!
