Comic-Con 2014: Outside of Hall H on Thursday

Comic-Con veterans know the most coveted spot in the entire convention is in the front rows of Hall H. But what happens outside can be just as interesting as well.

In fact, in the first day of Comic-Con 2014 you can dive into the intersection of Peanuts and social issues, what collectibles are hot with Milennials or even an analysis into what motivates silver screen legends Freddy, Michael and Jason to kill.

The most interesting celebrity to see outside Hall H on Thursday is arguably “Game of Thrones” author George R.R. Martin. He’ll be in the Indigo Ballroom to talk about his new In the House of the Worm comic book series but how could GOT not be mentioned in an hour-long discussion?

If you’ve ever wanted to meet an astronaut, Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin is slated to talk about the future of NASA on Thursday along with other space experts.

Music fans may consider sitting in on a panel featuring composers that create the music to some of the most popular television shows and movies.

There’s also a dedicated discussion planned on how to correctly dress as a Mandalorian (aka Boba Fett).

If the business of comics interests you there are several panels focusing on how to go from print to digital, how to break into the business or if you’re in already how to best market your brand.

Still want to see what happened in Hall H? Then make sure to head to the Playback Room for a “best of” presentation of the day’s panels.
