‘COLOR PopUp' Party Celebrates Mexico City's Culture in Pacific Beach

The colorful event at Pueblo in Pacific Beach celebrated the culture, art, food and music of Mexico City

A lively party colored Pacific Beach this week, celebrating cultural Mexican authenticity, lively music, drinks and Baja Coastal cuisine.

The first-ever "COLOR PopUpParty" went down Wednesday night at PB's Pueblo restaurant on Hornblend Street.

The event was rooted in its love for color and meant to showcase the vibrancy of Mexico City.

Attendees engaged their senses through a complete immersion of the Baja Coastal experience including samples of colorful culinary cuisine. A popular stop was an "elote" station serving up the grilled Mexican street corn with all of the fixings.

Exotic, citric-infused cocktails also gave guests a taste of modern-style Latin flavor.

The night featured local muralists celebrating the edgy and modern street art from Mexico City. Music also lit up the restaurant as performers, artists, chefs and mixologists filled the space, all sharing their love for color, art and Mexico City's culture.

Another PopUpParty is set to take place on June 27 at Kettner Exchange in Little Italy.
