Crowds Expected for Big Bay Balloon Parade

Crowds will line Harbor Drive Monday for the annual balloon parade

    Children young and old will be getting up early Monday to go see the Big Bay Balloon Parade.

    From The Lorax to Mother Goose – characters will float along the Embarcadero Monday for The Big Bay Balloon Parade.

    Crowds will line up along the parade route on Harbor Drive for the parade that begins at 10 a.m. in front of the County Administration building.

    If you want to stake a claim for your spot, look south along Harbor Drive to Pacific Highway near Seaport Village. See parade route

    The nice thing about this parade is that you only need to look up to enjoy the balloons. So every seat is a good one. However, there are grandstand seats available for $20 each.

    Bands from all over the county will perform.

    After the parade, you and your family can enjoy a free festival at the Broadway Pier.

    Take the trolley to the event or park at the corner of Pacific Highway and Broadway. There is also street parking available.

    If you live along the North County coast, you can take the Coaster to the Santa fe Depot and walk three blocks west.
