Enjoy the end of summer with some fun times

End your summer with a bang! Cheers with local beers, party with pups, feast on food trucks galore and taste an entire city: There are plenty of options and the Yelp Event Page has your end of summer schedule!

BrewFest Encinitas
4-7 p.m. on Aug. 3 in Encinitas
Fifteen craft breweries, food vendors, free parking… and all for a good cause! Designated drivers get in for free and all proceeds benefit the Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club. Food trucks will be in attendance for this three-hour afternoon event with a view of the lagoon. Cheers with local beers like Stone, Green Flash, Iron Fist, Ballast Point, Culture Brewing and more: All to the local sounds of AudioLeague.

Dog Days of Summer
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 10 in Cardiff-By-The-Sea
Grab you pooch and head to the city by the sea! Around 200 vendors, 10 dog contests, a kid zone, Yelp’s pup photo booth and even a Blessing of the Dogs with the Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Center! Your dogs can chill out in the puppy cool down zone while you check out the latest in specialty pet products. If you don’t already have a man’s best friend: Adoptions are available from local shelters and rescue organizations!

Taste of Encinitas
5:30-8:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 in Main Street Encinitas
Ever wanted to try all the delicious restaurants in Encinitas in one night? Here’s your chance! This year is the 24th annual event and 34 participating palate pleasers are on board. Plus! A new addition this year, 16 sip stops to quench your thirst along the way. Live music will provide the perfect backdrop and there are only 1,000 tickets available. Snag yours before they’re gone!

Valley Center Food Truck Festival
1- 9 p.m. on Aug. 24 at Bates Nut Farm
Every food truck you fantasize about will be lined up for the taking. 16 local favorites will be dishing up the best meals on wheels! Including trucks from The Great Food Truck Race like Devilicious, Under The Crust and Crepes Bonaparte. Hang out in the wine and beer garden while you listen to live entertainment for the perfect "Let's Go Hawaiian" themed day at Bates Nut Farm. 

Oceanside International Film Festival
Times vary, Aug. 22-25
Oceanside brings the best of the big screen to the seaside for a four-day festival and kicks off the film season. The schedule of events includes tours of the “Top Gun” house, screenwriter workshops, red carpet entrances and screenings complete with actors and productions in attendance.  The Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation puts Oceanside on the movie star map: Grab tickets ASAP to star gaze!
