Nosh News: Taste of Point Loma

If you’ve ever wanted to eat your way through San Diego’s Point Loma peninsula, the time is now as a culinary tasting event hits the community this month.

The Taste of Point Loma – a self-guided, hyperlocal food tour – is happening April 22 at 5:30 p.m.

Foodies will have a chance to explore scrumptious samples from an array of restaurants, cafés and bakeries on the peninsula.

This year, participating eateries include Bali Hai, Mitch’s Seafood, Point Break Café, Sweetaly, The Wine Pub and Umi Sushi, among many others. Some of the restaurants are dog-friendly, so attendees should look for a paw print next to the restaurant’s logo on their ticket to find spots with dog-friendly patios.

This year’s event will include food and beverage pairings. For an extra fee, participating restaurants will offer patrons an option to buy a drink that compliments the restaurant’s food sample.

A free shuttle service will offer rides from eatery to eatery along the food tour route.

Tickets cost $15 for bicyclists, students and active military and $25 for everyone else. Get more detais here.
