Emmy winner Sela Ward is coming to "CSI:NY."
The former "Sisters" and "Once and Again" actress is joining the cast of the Big Apple version of CBS' popular crime procedural series on the heels Melina Kanakaredes' departure, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Via CBS, Ward will be playing a seasoned D.C. investigator that will make her debut in the season 7 premiere.
“We are delighted to have Sela joining CSI: NY,” said producer Pam Veasey in a statement released by the network. “With the exciting stories planned for season 7, she’ll be a dynamic addition to the cast and the team.”
Per EW, Kanakaredes decided to leave the show rather than sign a new contract.
