Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are opening up about their relationship.

Keith Urban said the reason his third time in rehab did the trick was because of “love.”

The four-years sober country star told Oprah Winfrey in an interview Monday that he’d only been married to actress Nicole Kidman a few months before she and a few friends staged an intervention over his addiction to alcohol and cocaine.

“This could destroy us,” Urban said he remembered thinking about his new marriage.

But he told Winfrey he knew that he had to “make a decision which road I was going to take, once and for all,” and reentered rehab in October 2006 despite his fears.

His relationship with Kidman only grew stronger because of the “perfect” way she “handled the moment,” he said, according to excerpts of the interview posted on Oprah.com and Us.

“Everything was just designed, I believe, for that moment to fuse us together,” Urban said, adding that he discovered how to love himself too.

In Kidman’s own interview with Winfrey, the Oscar-winner described her relationship with Urban as “really tight.”

"I think marriage is about, every day, trying to make it better and working through things and when things are tough, saying, 'I'm going to come to you and talk,'" she said.

The Australian actress, who lives with Urban and their 2.5-year-old daughter Sunday Rose in Nashville, Tennessee, is set to star in the upcoming film “Rabbit Hole.”
